What is the Walk to End Suicide?

The Walk to End Suicide 2025 in Toronto is a free, community-led 5K walk along Lake Ontario aimed at raising awareness and funding for suicide prevention programs in Canada. It is hosted by the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto (DCGT) and open to all ages and fitness levels.

Full Event Schedule

  • 10:00 a.m. — Welcome & Check-in (T-shirt pickup, photo stations, face painting, music, warm-up zone)
  • 11:00 a.m. — Opening Remarks & Guest Stories (Speakers: Robert Ridge (DCGT), Kirsten Fogg, Zuwa Matondo)
  • 11:05 a.m. — Guided Group Warm-Up
  • 11:10 a.m. — Walk Starts (5K Route)
  • 12:10 p.m. — Lunch for All Participants
  • 12:45 p.m. — Raffle & Awards Ceremony
